Skopje, June 5, 2026 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., today held an important working meeting with a high-level delegation of prominent figures from the academic, literary, and cultural life. The delegation included the respected academic Ali Aliu, the well-known writer and activist Namik Dokle, the director of Toena publishing house and organizer of the Book Fair, Fatmir Toçi, and the Director of the National Library of Albania, Majlinda Toçi.
At the meeting, MTU Rector, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., was accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Full Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D., and Ariton Rama, M.Sc., with whom they shared the view that the discussion should focus on the exceptional importance of organizing book fairs for students and the academic community. The participants emphasized that cultural events such as these play a key role in the selection of quality literature and in enriching the intellectual world of the young.
On this occasion, the guests expressed special gratitude to Mother Teresa University in Skopje for its significant contribution and support in the successful realization of this fair.
During the meeting, concrete ideas were presented and the first steps were agreed upon for institutional cooperation in several areas of mutual interest. As a bridge connecting science and literature, initial ideas were laid for close institutional cooperation between the National Library of Albania and Mother Teresa University in Skopje, with a special focus on conducting joint scientific research and providing access to academic collections and resources.
