Skopje, May 2023 – Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences from the study program Social Work and Social Policy, visited the nursing home “Milica” where they were welcomed by the director of the nursing home, Mrs. Shermin Mamut. The students were led by their lecturers Asst. Prof. Elisabeta Bajrami Ollogu and Asst. Prof. Kaltrina Zekolli Shaqiri.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to observe the operation of the center and the activities of the staff, especially the aspects of the social worker’s work with the elderly.

MTU students had the opportunity to meet the elderly people, giving them various gifts and spending time talking with each other. The director of the nursing home and the working staff thanked the student for the visit and the kindness that they showed to the elderly.

The “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje and the nursing home “Milica” have a cooperation agreement and every year MTU students carry out teaching practices at this institution.
