Skopje, June 7, 2023 – Today, Mother Teresa University in Skopje organized the graduation ceremony to farewell the fifth generation of graduates, crowning their hard four-year work.
MTU rector announced that in the six years of its existence, Mother Teresa University in Skopje has expanded even more, and this has been proven by the number of graduating students.
“In MTU, there are 3,696 students at 8 accredited faculties, three of which are new faculties to start operating the next academic year, and 43 study programs.
Dear graduating students, you are a generation that studied in difficult conditions, but, today we are in our new home on a beautiful campus in the heart of Skopje with an area of 50,000 m2 and a building with an area of more than 5,000 m2, all completely reconstructed”.
Rector Zeqiri, also stated that, as he had promised to manage MTU transparently and honestly, and effectively and efficiently, he did succeed in making MTU a competitive and quality university in all segments.
“I continue to work dedicatedly following my promises. I did promise that my management team and I shall create our mutual home. Today, dear students, lecturers, and administrative staff, we are organizing this ceremony on your campus. Congratulations on our new campus. We are working hard to improve the student services and fix the infrastructure, and for that, we thank the government support but also the friends of MTU, the business community that have been our support and help the new generations to study in better conditions. It is important to note that the new campus project is ready and should enter the budget next year”.
The Minister of Education and Science, Mr. Jeton Shaqiri, as the guest of honor at the ceremony, congratulated the graduating students who managed to crown their hard work, dedication, and perseverance they showed during the past four years.
“As graduates, you have invested a lot to get to the point where you are standing now, your personal growth is reached thanks to your dedication to the scientific fields of your expertise, your intellectual curiosity and endurance, countless study hours, reflection, and research. As a lecturer by vocation, let me remind you that the end of your studies is just the beginning of a new chapter in your life, a chapter with a greater responsibility that your families and our entire society expect from you”, stated Minister Shaqiri.
Mr. Shaqiri also stated to be convinced that with the skills, knowledge, and experiences received at Mother Teresa University, the students shall very quickly join the labor market and use their education to make positive changes in the environments where they are to work.
At this year’s ceremony, the five best students from the five faculties were announced, i.e., from the Faculty of Technological Sciences, Shermin Memed with an average grade of 9,2; from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Diellza Idrizi, with an average grade of 9,46; from the Faculty of Informatics, Ardrin Rexhepi, with an average grade 10,00; from the Faculty
of Social Sciences, Ersan Kurti, with an average grade of 10,00; and from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Anesa Ameti, with an average grade of 9,95.
