BOOKS TODAY AND PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
April 23, 2024 – On the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Mustafa Ibrahimi, Ph.D., today, on the occasion of April 23, World Book and Copyright Day and UN English Language Day, a panel discussion on the topic BOOKS TODAY AND PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY was organized.
The main speakers at the panel discussion were Lecturer Tahir Zajazi, Ph.D., professor and author of several academic books, and Afet Jashari, M.Sc., State Counselor in the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia.Lecturer Tahir Zajazi, Ph.D., expressed his pleasure to be among the students of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, to whom he presented his book Metodologjia e mësimdhënies dhe mësim nxënies for schools, school programs, and curricula.The State Counselor at the Ministry of Culture, Afet Jashari, M.Sc., stated that the Ministry of Culture is working to create the most productive legislation for universities, and he is personally involved in many projects as well as the new copyright protection law in Macedonia.The host of the panel discussion, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Mustafa Ibrahimi, Ph.D., stated that the idea of celebrating World Book Day comes from the region of Catalonia, where it is a tradition to give a rose to whoever buys a book, and this day is also supported by UNESCO.
The Dean added that books breathe soul into the universe, give wings to the mind, make imagination fly, and give life to everything.After the panel discussion, MTU students and students of Aleksandër Xhuvani University of Elbasan visited Filos School of Foreign Languages in Skopje, with which the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Mustafa Ibrahimi, Ph.D., signed a memorandum of cooperation some time ago.
