Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Diturije Ismaili, participates in the postgraduate academic program Study of the US Institutes (SUSI) at Seattle University, Washington.

SUSI programs for lecturers and researchers feature six-week academic exchanges at postgraduate level. The programs are divided into different fields with groups of 18 participants from the academy and organized by different educational institutions of the USA. The purpose of the programs is to strengthen curricula and improve the quality of teaching for the US in academic institutions abroad.

Prof. Dr. Diturije Ismaili will participate in the SUSI program on American Culture, Identity and Society, which is designed to enrich and deepen knowledge about American society, culture, values, identities and institutions, through the perspective of contemporary American studies and through dialogue with members of the US academy.

The program will include intensive academic engagement, panel discussions, interaction and networking with American researchers, meeting with experts from various disciplines, visiting institutions and participation in scientific conferences and symposiums.

During her academic journey, Professor Diturije Ismaili has had a wide international experience. She sees her involvement in the SUSI program as very special and beneficial to herself and МТU. ” The exchange of knowledge and experiences with academics of various disciplines and different countries will offer me the opportunity to expand my perspective on the development of curricula and educational methodologies, and bring new pedagogical knowledge and approaches to MTU, ” said Professor Ismaili.

Among the topics that will be included in the program are: Cultural expression, media and values in the USA; Social movements, politics and religion; National Formation, Power and Politics; Diaspora, Immigration and Belonging; Technology, Information and Democracy and others.
