Skopje, November 4, 2024 – Mother Teresa University in Skopje successfully organised the 2. Congress, within which TSD 2024 8. International Conference on Sustainable Development is held.
This important academic and scientific event brought together researchers, experts, and professionals from different fields in order to share knowledge and experience to improve and promote sustainable development practices in the region and beyond.
The conference was opened by the Vice-Rector for Science and Research at MTU and the general chairperson of the organisation of the Congress and the TSD 2024 conference, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., who presented the development and the significance of the Congress. The Rector of MTU, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D.; the Austrian Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Martin Pammer, advisor to the Prime Minister of North Macedonia; Mr. Johannes Heidecker, the international reviewer for accreditation of study programs; Lecturer Andrew Goodspeed, Ph.D., the RIT Global – Rochester Institute of Technology Head of the CIT Program; Lecturer Debabrata Samantha, Ph.D.; and the CEO and Head of Man & Mountain Inc., from Austria, Mr. Hannes Jäckl, in front of a large number of representatives of institutions, scientific researchers from the country and abroad, held their inspirational speeches.
Rector Zeqiri at the 2. Congress and the TSD 2024 8. International Conference on Sustainable Development emphasised the support and commitment of the University in the promotion of sustainable development and, among other things, stated that: “The TSD 2024 Conference serves as a bridge that connects academic knowledge with real practices and helps to share experiences and ideas that can inspire change. I am convinced that our sessions will be a source of fruitful discussions and new ideas that will contribute to the improvement of our sustainability strategies”.
The 2. Congress and the TSD 2024 8. Conference have the main goal of contributing to the advancement of sustainability in society by sharing knowledge, ideas, and good practices. Furthermore, it aims to raise awareness of global challenges affecting the environment, economy, and social aspects of development.
In this edition, the TSD 2024 8. Conference includes participants from 20+ different countries, including prestigious universities from Europe, Asia, the United States, and beyond. This diversity contributes to a discussion rich in different perspectives and international practices, strengthening global cooperation and academic exchange.
