Bosnia and Herzegovina, November 2024 – Mother Teresa University in Skopje, as a co-organizer, took part in the 7. Applied Technologies in Mechanical Engineering International Conference (COMETA 2024), organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The conference took place from November 14–16, 2024, in Jahorina.
MTU participants, who presented their papers were: Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D.; Assoc. Prof. Monika Lutovska, Ph.D.; Lecturer Zoran Trifunov, Ph.D.; Assoc. Prof. Stevan Kjosevski, Ph.D.; and Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Kitanovski, Ph.D., who, apart from presenting their scientific papers, also participated as moderators of some of the conference sessions.
#COMETA2024 provided an international platform for the exchange of knowledge, research, and innovation in the field of mechanical engineering. The conference highlighted the importance of global collaboration and promoted professional development through seminars, workshops, and training.
Through presentations and discussions, the conference addressed:
- Modern advances in areas such as robotics, AI, materials science, and manufacturing technologies;
- The importance of addressing global challenges such as sustainability, automation, and energy efficiency;
- Encouraging international cooperation between academic institutions and industry.
The participation of Mother Teresa University from Skopje in the conference not only contributed to the presentation of the scientific works of the academic staff but also strengthened international academic ties. Through this cooperation, new opportunities were created for the exchange of experiences of the academic staff and students between the two universities.
