Pristina, February 2025 – The Faculty of Humanities at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, represented by the Dean, Lecturer Mustafa Ibrahimi, Ph.D., and the Albanological Institute of Prishtina, represented by Mr. Naim Berisha, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening communication and cooperation in the scientific and academic research field.

The benefits of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Faculty of Humanities at MTU and the Institute of Albanology of Pristina, in addition to strengthening communication and cooperation in the scientific and research field, aim to organize and implement conferences, symposia, scientific roundtables, lectures, debates, research and scientific projects organized by these institutions, book publication and launching, organization of lectures, exchange and use of libraries, including review committees for publishing books, and other cooperational issues related to scientific and academic research.

The signing was also attended by the head of the Department of German Language, Lecturer Izer Maksuti, Ph.D., and the scientists from the Institute, Sejdi Gashi and Abdurrahim Maxhuni.

The meeting emphasized that coordination and cooperation between the Faculty of Humanities and the Albanological Institute of Prishtina are essential for the protection of the standardized Albanian language, as well as monitoring and planning of language policy as an important tool for preserving the standard language and the national identity.
