Skopje, February 23, 2026 – Today, at the Faculty of Informatics of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, the National Conference on Training in AI and Cybersecurity was successfully held. The event provided students with the opportunity to enhance their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in two of the most critical areas of information technology.

The conference was opened by the Rector of MTU, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., who welcomed the attendees and emphasized MTU’s commitment to being a leader in promoting technological innovation. He highlighted that preparing new professionals to address the challenges of digital security is a strategic priority for our institution.

The conference was conducted under the mentorship and continuous supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Informatics, Assoc. Prof. Majlinda Axhiu, Ph.D., and Assoc. Prof. Fisnik Doko, Ph.D., who ensured that the program aligned labor market requirements with the best academic practices.

Discussions focused on applied protocols for AI and advanced defensive strategies in cybersecurity. The highlight of the event was the laboratory sessions, where students had the opportunity to develop practical modules for creating AI-based support systems for identifying cyber threats.

The conference featured lecturers and trainers who are well-known figures in both industry and academia: Debabrata Samanta, Ph.D.; Orgest Rushi; Rubin Shatku; Irsa Doci; and Dalina Canhasi.

Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with experts on case studies, challenges in AI implementation, and the latest trends in global data protection.
