As part of this term’s courses, students from the Social Work and Social Policy study program at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Mother Teresa University in Skopje are carrying out a series of study visits to institutions and organizations that provide social services in the country. The visits are organized under the guidance of their lecturers, Assoc. Prof. Elisabeta Bajrami Ollogu, Ph.D., and Assoc. Prof. Hava Rexhep, Ph.D., with the aim of integrating theoretical knowledge with professional practice.

The students conducted a visit to Dua Ylberin Center for Children With Challenges, where they had the opportunity to closely learn about the services offered, the professional approach to working with children, as well as the challenges and needs in this sensitive area of social work. During the visit, students were informed about daily work practices, the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, and the role of professionals in supporting the development and well-being of children.

These practical experiences are essential for the professional preparation of the students, contributing to the development of their analytical skills, empathy, and fieldwork competencies.

In the upcoming weeks, the students are to carry out additional study visits to various institutions and organizations, further expanding their knowledge and experience in the field of social work and social policy.

The study program in question remains committed to providing high-quality, practice-oriented education, preparing students for the real challenges of the profession.
