Tirana, April 2026 – Upon an official invitation from the Government of the Republic of Albania, the Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., participates in the proceedings of the 4th Albanian Diaspora Summit, held in Tirana under the motto “We Rise Through Our Roots.”
At this important pan-Albanian event, MTU Rector, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., is accompanied by the MTU leadership team, consisting of Vice-Rectors Assoc. Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D.; Assoc. Prof. Sani Demiri, Ph.D.; ans Mr. Driton Zendeli, MA.
The main focus of MTU’s delegation is the panel titled “Diaspora and Scientific Research Activity,” organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Education. The panel addresses the role of the academic diaspora in advancing higher education and explores opportunities for joint research projects between researchers in the diaspora and our academic institutions.
The summit brings together experts, academics, and distinguished individuals from around the world to engage in discussions on the vital role and strategic contribution of the diaspora to the overall development of the pan-Albanian space.
MTU’s participation in the summit aims at institutionalizing Albanian scientific cooperation worldwide, with the goal of modernizing research and enhancing the quality of innovation within our academic sphere.
