Skopje, September 2, 2026 – Today, at the premises of the Municipality of Cair, the Rector of  Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full. Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., and the Mayor of the Municipality of Cair, Mr. Izet Mexhiti, signed a bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation, bringing together academic knowledge and institutional responsibility in the service of children’s health and equitable development.

At the official signing ceremony, the Rector Bekim Fetaji was accompanied by Vice-Rector Assoc. Prof. Bujamin Bela, Secretary General Rahim Jashari, Ph.D., Sedat Baftiu, Ph.d., Mr. Ariton Rama, as well as the President of the University Student Assembly, Besar Sejdiu.

The cooperation between Mother Teresa University and the Municipality of Çair is being implemented within the framework of the platform “Cair in the Rhythm of Health”  and aims to organize professional assessments, as well as educational lectures on the prevention of potential spinal deformities among primary school children. With the beginning of the new school year, professors and experts from MTU will conduct practical and educational activities focusing on proper posture while sitting at school desks, appropriate backpack use, and the importance of regular physical activity.

The initiative aims  a long-term partnership that places emphasis on prevention, health education, and early care, before physical disorders emerge in children during their growth and development.

The involvement of MTU’s academic staff gives this project a high level of professional and institutional credibility, enabling parents and teachers to receive specialized advice.During the signing ceremony, it was emphasized that the best investment in health is one made on time. Mother Teresa University in Skopje remains committed to placing its scientific and human capacities at the direct service of the community and future generations.
