Skopje, August 26, 2026 – Today, at the site where the new university campus is being constructed, the Rector of the of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full. Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., welcomed the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, on an official visit.

The welcoming and solemn meeting, which took place on the day marking the birth anniversary of our great humanitarian, Mother Teresa, was attended by senior state and institutional officials, including the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Afrim Gashi; the First Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Bekim Sali; the mayors of the municipalities of Čair and Tetovo, Mr. Izet Mexhiti and Mr. Bilall Kasami; the Minister for Inter-Community Relations, Mr. Agon Ferati; the Minister of Economy and Labour, Mr. Besar Durmishi; as well as other institutional leaders.

During the meeting, Rector Fetaji, accompanied by Vice-Rectors Full. Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D., and Assoc. Prof. Bujamin Bela, Ph.D., briefed Prime Minister Kurti on the progress of the construction works, the development of academic infrastructure, and the capital investments being carried out at the modern MTU campus.

Rector Fetaji also emphasized that Mother Teresa University in Skopje proudly holds the name of Mother Teresa and is deeply committed to making her universal values of humanism, dedication, and knowledge a guiding principle in the education of future generations.

The Prime Minister Albin Kurti congratulated the leadership of MTU for its tireless work and the vision demonstrated in consolidating the university’s infrastructure, emphasizing the particular importance of this higher education institution for educational, scientific, and social development.
