Bulgaria/Skopje, July 2024 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., and the Rector of Trakia University, Lecturer Dobri Jarkov, Ph.D., signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two academic higher education institutions.
The Memorandum aims to create and support bilateral cooperation between the two higher education institutions in the areas of interest between the two state universities, MTU and Trakia University, and also aims to exchange academic staff, students, and joint educational and research activities through international projects, symposiums, conferences, and other scientific activities; implementation of joint programs of academic degrees from the first and second cycle of studies, direct recognition of diplomas issued by the signatory countries, participation in sports and cultural events, etc.
Moreover, Rector Zeqiri and Rector Jarkov discussed the functioning of the two higher education institutions, the differences between the two state universities regarding their study programs, and agreed on the commitment to mutual academic advancement.
Trakia University occupies a prestigious place in the top ten rankings of universities in Bulgaria and is but an example of an international and multidisciplinary institution.
