Varna, Bulgaria, July 2024 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., after the meetings in the Republic of Bulgaria, in the regional administration of the Varna region, was welcomed by the Governor of Varna, Mrs. Andriyana Andreeva, responsible for 12 municipalities in the Varna region.
Rector Zeqiri informed Governor Andreeva about the development of the higher education in North Macedonia, the progress of MTU, the development of the Erasmus+ program, as well as the excellent cooperation with other international universities.
Furthermore, at the meeting, Rector Zeqiri, along with Lecturer Zoran Trifunov, Ph.D., and Lecturer Vladimir Kitanovski, Ph.D., elaborated on the activities carried out in three successful projects in Bulgaria in the field of higher education with the aim of raising the quality in the country and beyond. Also, they were in Varna on the occasion of their participation in the international project for the prevention of risk factors among the young.
The governor, Mrs. Andriyana Andreeva, presented to the guests the most important aspects of the work of the state administration, as well as the policy of interaction between local self-government, business, and universities. Rector Zeqiri and Governor Andreeva, too, discussed the possibilities for future exchange of experiences and good practices in the direction of strengthening the interest and opportunities of the young towards education.
