Skopje, September 3, 2025 – In remembrance of the day of the canonization of Gonxhe Bojaxhiu – Mother Teresa, a symbol of humanism and devotion to others, Mother Teresa University in Skopje, in co-organization with the Institute for Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians in Skopje, organized a panel discussion on the topic оф MOTHER TERESA FROM SKOPJE ON THE ALTAR OF SAINTHOOD.
At thе solemn event, the attendees were addressed by the Rector of MTU, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., and the Acting Director of the Institute for Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians in Skopje, Besnik Emini, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of the human and spiritual legacy of the Saint from Calcutta, as well as the institutional responsibility for nurturing her values within the academic and social environment.
Panelists at the discussion included: Assoc. Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D., from MTU, who also served as the moderator; Valdete Kasapi, Ph.D., from the Institute for Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians in Skopje; and Father Vinko Maslać from the Catholic Church in Skopje.
The discussions brought into focus the historical, spiritual, and universal dimensions of Mother Teresa’s work, highlighting her extraordinary life mission, which continues to inspire generations around the world.
Through these events, Mother Teresa University in Skopje and the Institute for Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians in Skopje reaffirm their joint commitment to promoting figures from our cultural and spiritual heritage and to creating lasting spaces for academic reflection.
