Skopje, September 15, 2025 – In his office, the Rector of the Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., welcomes a delegation from the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), led by Ms. Kalinka Gaber.

At the meeting, Rector Fetaji, accompanied by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., presented the infrastructural and academic developments at MTU, as well as the international projects in which the university is involved. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Petar Grncarovski and Mr. Kristijan Panev, members of the UNOPS delegation.

Ms. Gaber provided information on UNOPS’s engagement within the framework of the project for improving air quality in the Republic of North Macedonia, with a particular focus on four cities: Skopje, Tetovo, Bitola, and Kumanovo. She emphasized that MTU is seen as a potential partner for future collaboration, sharing a common vision for sustainable development and innovation in service of the community.

UNOPS operates in over 80 countries worldwide, implementing more than 1,000 projects each year. Its activities address numerous global challenges, including humanitarian crises, natural disasters, infrastructure development, and institutional reforms – contributing to the building of a more sustainable and inclusive future.
