Skopje, September 2025 – The Rector of the Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., welcomes in his office Mr. Gazmend Ilazi, the Education Program Officer and Alumni Program Coordinator at the Embassy of the United States of America in Skopje.
During the meeting it was discussed on exploring opportunities to deepen the cooperation between MTU and the U.S. Embassy, with special emphasis on academic programs, student exchange initiatives, and increased involvement of university staff in international activities. Also, it was emphasized the importance of alumni programs as a vital link in strengthening institutional capacities.
Rector Fetaji emphasized MTU’s commitment to being an active part of international academic networks and to providing new opportunities for students and staff through partnerships with prestigious institutions. In return, Mr. Ilazi expressed readiness to support projects that foster the integration of students and professors into international programs and enhance academic collaboration with the United States.
This meeting marks an important step toward creating new perspectives for the academic, scientific, and cultural development of MTU at an international level.
