Skopje, May 19, 2026 – Today, Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice Rector for Education, Full Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D., welcomed the Mayor of the Municipality of Chashka, Mr. Suat Shaqiri, to a working meeting held at the Rector’s office.

The meeting took place in a positive spirit of cooperation, during which opportunities for institutional coordination in the field of higher education and youth support were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on encouraging and maintaining continuous enrollment, for each academic year, of students from the Chashka region in the study programs offered by Mother Teresa University in Skopje.

Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., informed Mayor Shaqiri about the university’s rich academic offer and modern study conditions, emphasizing that MTU’s study programs, with a special focus on technical, technological, social, and applied sciences, represent but an excellent opportunity for the professional development of the young from this municipality.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Chashka, Mr. Suat Shaqiri, expressed gratitude for the hospitality and highly praised the academic and social role of MTU. He confirmed the readiness of the local self-government for close cooperation with the university, with the aim of guiding the young from the region toward quality higher education that meets the demands of the modern labor market.
