Skopje, June 3, 2026 – Organized by the Faculty of Humanities at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, a cultural and literary meeting took place today with the distinguished Belgian-Albanian Francophone, intellectual, and writer Mr. Skënder Sherifi, within his literary jubilee 70-50. 

The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Teaching at MTU, Full Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D., who, on behalf of the Rectorate, welcomed the guest, describing him as a worthy ambassador of Albanian culture in Europe and an inspiring example for students. The audience was also greeted by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Full Prof. Mustafa Ibraimi, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of organizing events of such an academic and cultural level. 

The moderator of the event was Full Prof. Izer Maksuti, Ph.D., who gave a brief overview of the author’s work before giving the floor to Mr. Sherifi. In his address, he shared his experiences and visions of literary creation and identity with the audience. 

The event was further enriched by an artistic recital performed by student Eliza Mejdini, adding a creative and expressive dimension to the program, and concluded with an open and interactive discussion with students and lecturers, who had the opportunity to exchange views and interview the author.
