Skopje, June 1, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, in a strategic partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia, today, officially launched the activities of the Summer School on the topic “Introduction to Financial Markets and Securities.”
The summer school, which is to be held from June 1 to June 3, 2026, aims to serve as an intensive platform for transferring theoretical knowledge into the operational practice of the capital market.
The opening ceremony was marked by significant institutional messages regarding the role and importance of financial education for young generations. On behalf of the Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., a welcoming address was delivered by Vice-Rector Full Prof. Bujamin Bela, Ph.D., who emphasized MTU’s commitment to creating synergy with regulatory institutions in order to enhance the professional and academic development of students. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Full Prof. Bukurie Imeri Jusufi, Ph.D., also addressed the attendees, expressing satisfaction with the realization of the project and the successful inter-institutional cooperation that enables students to build a strong connection between academic theory and professional practice. Meanwhile, the Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ms. Bujare Abazi, in her speech placed special emphasis on the importance of understanding the regulatory environment and respecting business ethics as key elements for building a stable and competitive economy.
After the protocol concluded, the first-day program continued with thematic lectures focused on the fundamentals of financial markets and financial instruments. Within the summer school, students are to attend specialized modules covering trading strategies, financial analysis, and securities trading mechanisms, led by distinguished experts and experts in the field.
The organization of the summer school represents a significant step in enriching the academic and professional profile of students, contributing to their better preparation for the challenges and opportunities offered by the modern financial market.
