Mother Teresa University in Skopje announces that the patent application for the technological innovation NET-SENTINEL was officially published in India on August 21, 2026, under application number 202641095582 A.
The applicant and first-named inventor of the system is the Rector of MTU, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Information Sciences at MTU. The team of inventors also includes Suplar Kanti Podder, Gurunath R, Irsa Doci, and Debabrata Samantha.
NET-SENTINEL is an AI-based functional extension for the Google Chrome web browser, developed in accordance with the Manifest V3 standard, with the aim of enhancing the level of cybersecurity. The system uses machine learning to analyze network activity, learn normal usage patterns, and identify unusual behavior or suspicious connections in real time.
The solution combines an adaptive statistical detector with a compact Isolation Forest model. It generates explainable alerts, adapts the detection threshold according to the user’s behavior, and stores data locally on the device.
The publication represents a significant achievement in the scientific work of Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., as well as for Mother Teresa University in Skopje, particularly in the fields of research, innovation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
