Skopje, September 8, 2026 – On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of North Macedonia, representatives of the Mother Teresa University in Skopje, led by Vice-Rector for Education, Full Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D., and Vice-Rector for Finance, Investments, and Development, Assoc. Prof. Bujamin Bela, Ph.D., attended the official reception organized by the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia under the patronage of the President of the Assembly, Mr. Afrim Gashi.

The state ceremony, attended by senior institutional representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, Members of Parliament, former public office holders, and the country’s international partners, reflected on the country’s more-than-three-decade journey and the challenges of building stable and functional institutions.In his welcoming address, the President of the Assembly, Mr. Afrim Gashi, emphasized the importance of building a modern state governed by the rule of law, where laws are applied equally to all, the administration remains at the service of citizens, and a shared vision for full membership in the European Union is strengthened.

As a public higher education institution established by the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia itself, Mother Teresa University in Skopje remains committed to serving as an educational and scientific pillar in the development of society, directly contributing to the preparation of new generations of professionals who will advance the country’s European perspective and democratic progress.
