Tetovo, Feb 9, 2023 – Today, “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Tetovo to serve as a basis for promoting cooperation, mutual understanding, and development in the field of education and scientific research.

The two signatories, the Rector of MTU, lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., and the Rector of UT, lecturer Kustrim Ahmeti, Ph.D., gave their word that the two universities are to cooperate in joint research projects and pilot projects, exchange of scientific and teaching staff, exchange of students, organization of seminars and conferences, and mutual workshops.

“Mother Teresa” University in Skopje and the University of Tetovo are to exchange scientific publications and other materials for research and educational purposes, conduct short-term visits of senior staff members for consultations, lectures, and project planning, as well as long-term visits with staff for research and technical training, postgraduate studies, or participation in joint research projects.

The two higher education institutions are to offer exchange opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students for practical training and participation in international programs, promote contacts with distinguished scientists from other academic centers in the respective countries, and provide mutual support in the planning and implementing visits to the respective countries.

Both universities are to provide financial support according to the possibilities available to each party and are to try to secure funds from other national or international sources. The contract is to be supplemented with more detailed work plans and subcontracts, which are to be drawn up according to the needs of current or planned projects. The contract is to last for five years.

Since its establishment, MTU has signed over 60 memoranda of cooperation with higher education institutions from the country, the region, and the world.
