Durrës, Albania, May 2026 – Western Balkans Cyber Camp 2026, a regional event dedicated exclusively to cybersecurity, was successfully held in the city of Durrës. The event brought together promising students, distinguished representatives from the academic community, and experts from the CIRT (Cyber Incident Response Team) teams of all Western Balkan countries.

Among the representatives from North Macedonia were four female students from the Faculty of Informatics at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, i.e., Alisa Shabani, Adla Limani, Kanita Reçica, and Shqipdona Mazari. The academic staff was represented by Assist. Prof. Majlinda Axhiu, Ph.D.

During the camp, participants had the opportunity to attend lectures and professional sessions led by renowned international cybersecurity experts, gaining insight into the latest trends and challenges in the field. In addition to the theoretical component, the students also participated in practical exercises and cybersecurity challenges, further developing their technical and analytical skills.

At the end of the camp, participants received certificates for successfully attending and completing the program activities.

Participation in such international activities represents an important opportunity for the professional advancement of students and for strengthening academic and professional cooperation in the region in the fields of technology and cybersecurity.
