Skopje, March 2023 – Two professors from Bulgaria, Lecturer Galia Marinova, Ph.D. from the Technical University of Sofia and Lecturer Vassil Guliashki, Ph.D. from the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies at the Academy of Sciences of Bulgaria visited Mother Teresa University in Skopje.
The dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Lecturer Neritan Turkesi, Ph.D., and lecturer Bukurie Imeri Jusufi, Ph.D. and Edona Vinca, Ph.D. welcomed the guests. As part of the CEEPUS network activities, there was a presentation titled “Modeling, Simulation and Computer-aided Design in Engineering and Management”.
Lecturer Galia Marinova, Ph.D. presented the network with a general overview of the activities so far, then continued with a presentation of the academic and research activities of the Faculty of Telecommunications at the Technical University of Sofia. Special emphasis was placed on the international element of teaching and scientific activity, highlighting the opportunities for cooperation with regional universities like MTU.
Lecturer Vassil Guliashki, Ph.D. presented the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies at the Academy of Sciences of Bulgaria, paying special attention to internationalization and the activities undertaken by the institution for international cooperation with similar institutions in the region and beyond.
At the meeting, students and academic staff agreed that the cooperation within the network should be deepened and that it offers opportunities for the exchange of experiences and study visits, such as student exchange or summer schools within the network.
