1. Old Bazaar (Skopje)

This is one of the oldest and largest marketplaces in the Balkans — full of winding streets, shops, cafés, Ottoman-era architecture and a vibrant atmosphere.

2. Skopje Fortress (Kale)

The old fortress overlooking Skopje gives panoramic views of the city and is steeped in history — a mix of Roman, Byzantine and later periods. Wikipedia+1

3. Millennium Cross on Mount Vodno

A tall 66-metre cross visible from much of the city, up on Mount Vodno. The views are fantastic. Wikipedia+1
Tip: Take the cable-car or hike up. For a memorable post: early morning or dusk for best light.
4. Macedonia Square (including the “Warrior on a Horse” statue)

The central square of Skopje, modern and historic mixed — lots of statues, fountains, big open space. Kathi Daniela+1

5. Art Bridge (Bridge of the Arts) & Stone Bridge over the Vardar River
These pedestrian bridges over the Vardar river connect the old town with modern parts and are a scenic walk. The Art Bridge features lots of statues of famous Macedonians. Trafalgar

6. Memorial House of Mother Teresa

The city where Mother Teresa was born features this memorial house in her honour. It’s meaningful and adds a cultural dimension. Kathi Daniela+1

7. Mustafa Pasha Mosque

8. Matka Canyon (near Skopje)

If you have time for a little nature escape from the city, this canyon is gorgeous. Outside the core city but very doable. Tripadvisor+1
